Hartii Games (hartiigames.com) is a skill-based arcade on the Quai Network. Hartii Biome (hartiibiome.com) is its sister site of wallet tools and the chain explorer. Both are built to collect as little about you as technically possible. There is no account to create, no email required, and no advertising.
The short version
- We set no cookies at all on either site. None.
- hartiigames.com runs no analytics, no advertising, no cross-site trackers, and no fingerprinting, and it does not count visits.
- hartiibiome.com has a cookieless visit counter of its own. The section below says whether it is on and what it keeps.
- We never take custody of your wallet, keys, or funds. Ranked entries and prizes move directly between you and public smart contracts.
What we store, and where
In your browser only
Your device keeps small preferences in local storage. This never leaves your device and is not sent to us: your mute/audio setting, a referral code if you arrived from a referral link, and short-lived "you've seen this" flags. Clear your browser's site data to remove all of it.
On our servers (Cloudflare)
We run a thin edge layer (Cloudflare Pages Functions + KV storage) with minimal data:
- Leaderboard scores — when you submit a score with a wallet connected, we store your public wallet address, the score, and the game/board so it can be ranked. Leaderboards are public by design.
- Run replays — the sequence of inputs for a submitted run is stored so any score can be re-simulated and verified. Replays are public and watchable; they contain no personal data beyond the public wallet address.
- Usernames — only if you choose to claim one. A username is a public, wallet-signed label shown on leaderboards; it is opt-in and public by design.
- Profile pictures — only if you choose one. We store your public wallet address, the contract address and token id of the NFT you chose, and when you chose it. It is public by design: anyone can look up a wallet's picture, and it shows next to your address on Hartii leaderboards and Hartii Biome. We re-check on the chain that you still own the NFT and clear the choice if you do not. You can remove it at any time with “Remove picture” on hartiibiome.com/profile. Pictures are shown through our server, so a viewer's browser never contacts the NFT's own host.
- Account type — only if you choose one. We store your public wallet address, whether you said Business or Personal, an optional business name you type yourself (businesses only), and when you last changed it. It is public by design and not verified by us: anyone can look it up, and Hartii Biome shows it on your profile and on HPAY receipts for payments to you. You can change it once every 7 days on hartiibiome.com/profile.
- Progress counters — XP, daily-attempt flags, and legacy HARTII reward accrual, keyed to your public wallet address.
- Abuse rate-limiting — for actions like score submission we briefly use your IP address solely to prevent spam. These entries are short-lived, auto-expire, and are never used to profile you.
- The document vault (optional) — if you use the Hartii Biome vault to pin a text file, that file is compressed and stored on IPFS, which is public and permanent. Only upload things you intend to share publicly. We store the content address (CID) against your wallet.
No analytics on hartiigames.com
hartiigames.com does not run any analytics or measurement tool (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, not even a cookieless traffic counter), and it does not count, profile, or track visits.
Visit counting on hartiibiome.com
Status: switched off. hartiibiome.com has a small visit counter of its own. It is built, and it is switched off, so nothing is counted today. We turn it on only after this section has been changed to say so. While it is off, our pages send no such message at all, so nothing leaves your browser for this counter.
When it is turned on, this is all it keeps for a counted visit: the kind of event (a page view; a money action such as an offer being filled, counted only after its transaction is confirmed; or a step that needs no transaction, such as making an HPAY link, opening a Claim link or running an Explorer search, which are counted when they happen and by kind only), the name of the page from a fixed list, the website you came from or a short campaign tag in the link, your country, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer) and a visitor code. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser.
- Your IP address and your browser's user agent are not stored by the counter. The visitor code is made from them and a random secret that is deleted after 36 hours, then cut short. Once the secret is gone, the code cannot be traced back to you or followed from one day to the next.
- It never sends amounts, wallet addresses, transaction hashes or what you type into a search box.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, your visit is not counted.
- Countries and referring sites with fewer than 3 visits are grouped together, so a single visit is never shown as its own country or referring site. The numbers are public and aggregate only, on hartiibiome.com/explorer/analytics.
Your wallet address
When you connect a wallet (e.g. Pelagus), your public address is used to attribute your scores, progress, and any ranked entries. On most hartiibiome.com pages, hartiibiome.com sends the wallet address you connect to hartiigames.com to look up your profile picture (the page that reads public documents does not). Biome's address pages and profile pages do the same for the address you look at, and an HPAY receipt page asks hartiigames.com for the account type of the wallet that was paid (a confirmed payment only; the HPAY inbox and statement do not). Only the public address is sent. We do not link it to your real-world identity, and you can browse and play free without connecting a wallet — you just won't appear on leaderboards.
Third parties
- The Quai blockchain — ranked entries, prize claims, and cosmetics are public on-chain transactions, visible to anyone, permanently. This is inherent to a blockchain and outside our control.
- IPFS / Pinata — used to store vault documents and load cosmetic art. Content on IPFS is public and content-addressed.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes visitor IPs transiently to serve and protect the site per its privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We have nothing to sell.
Your choices
- Clear your browser's site data to remove locally-stored preferences.
- Play free without connecting a wallet, and no address is read.
- Don't claim a username, and nothing public is stored about you.
- Don't use the vault if you'd rather not put a file on public IPFS.
Children
Hartii Games is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
We'll update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes. The visit counter on hartiibiome.com is turned on only after the status in its own section above has been changed to say so, and that change comes with a new date.
